John Cena’s Move To RAW
As we all saw Monday night, John Cena has returned to WWE’s flagship show after being drafted to SmackDown Live last year. It appears that Cena, who was classified as a free agent who would work both brands for a hot minute, will now be exclusive to RAW.
It’s being reported now that Cena’s move to RAW was for one simple reason: Roman Reigns. Apparently, Vince McMahon has his eye on Cena being used to elevate and give the rub to Reigns. It doesn’t seem to be so much about Cena himself drawing ratings for the show, but who Cena will draw ratings with.
We saw on this week’s RAW that WWE is already laying the groundwork for a Cena/Reigns “dream match”, so it looks like it’s just a matter of time before we see these two go head to head. I doubt it will do much to get Reigns over with the fans, but Vince McMahon seems hellbent on having Roman succeed Cena as the face of the company.
Lana & Rusev Leaving WWE?
A rumor is floating around that Rusev has asked for his and Lana’s release from WWE. Now, take this with a grain of salt, but it’s being reported that Rusev is frustrated with his positioning in the company, as well as that of his wife, and had a big old blow up with creative over it, finally asking for his release.
In this same report, it’s being said that Rusev’s request was denied and that WWE will have him work out the rest of his contract and just book him poorly on television for the foreseeable future.
Lana did address this rumor via Twitter earlier today:
That's called don't believe the pathetic villagers that pretend that they are "journalist" with real facts… hahahahah!!!! https://t.co/EfaoxRsdhJ

Like I said, take this with a grain of salt. But, Rusev does seem to be getting the shaft, and he’s too good for the role he is playing right now on the blue brand.
