Opinion: Returns and surprises like this are some of the most entertaining things that WWE can do. The company is able to offer some very nice surprises and bringing people back for the Royal Rumble is one of the best ways to make it work. Carlito is someone from a bygone era who can still do quite a few things for WWE. It would be nice to see something like this again, perhaps even with Carlito.
