Two at once? Injuries are one of the worst things that you can see in wrestling and sometimes they can show up out of nowhere. Occasionally you can see them take place and know right when it happened, but there are also instances where you only find out after the fact. Now two top WWE stars are both on the shelf for the time being with identical injuries that showed up in different ways.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The New Generation: Former WWE Superstar Reveals Scrapped Plans For New League Of Nations
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns suffered ruptured eardrums at Survivor Series. As a result, both are out of action for the time being, though both situations are described as “short-term”. McIntyre was medically disqualified from his scheduled Tag Team Title match with Sheamus against the Usos this week on SmackDown. Reigns on the other hand has not missed any scheduled matches due to his injury, which came due to a slap from Kevin Owens. WWE has already announced that Reigns will return next week on SmackDown.
That was a rough match. Check out what happened with the two of them:
Opinion: That is one of the more ironic things I’ve seen in a long time and it is a shame that the two of them are both out of action at the moment. Reigns has a lighter schedule so WWE can work around him fairly easily, but McIntyre is one of the company’s workhorses who is in the ring on a regular basis. Hopefully both are back to full health soon, as you never want to see anyone injured.
What do you think of the two of them? What is next for either star? Let us know in the comments below.
