It’s an honor. Wrestling is often centered around titles and championships, some of which are among the most sought after prizes in wrestling. However, those titles are eventually lost, with the championship changing hands. There are very few accomplishments in wrestling that last forever, but now some legends have achieved one of the most prestigious honors in the industry.

According to, twelve names have officially been confirmed for the 2022 class of the International Professional Wrestling Hall Of Fame. This is the second class of the Hall Of Fame, which will be inducted on August 27 in Albany, New York. Here are the inductees, in alphabetical order:

Alex Aberg
Steve Austin
Fred Beell
Mildred Burke
Tom Cannon
Riki Choshu
Dory Funk Jr.
Karl Gotch
Tom Jenkins
Jim Londos
Billy Robinson
Joe Stecher
Genichiro Tenyru

Opinion: There is something very special about seeing legends honored like this. You do not get to see many unaffiliated Halls of Fame and it is rather cool to see it come together. This is something that could be around for a long time to come and it would be nice to see it get a strong reception. Wrestling has had some amazing legends over the years and it is great to see them being honored in such a way.
